Abstract：Having explained what the postmodern condition means at the very beginning of the paper, the author illustrates the most salient distinctive features of postmodern narrative by taking Thomas Pynchon’s “Secret Integration” for example. Besides, the author confirms his claim that postmodern narrative shows communities as characterized by what Derrida calls self-destructive auto-immunitary logic through the discussion of the story.
