Abstract: Expressive writing, a newborn psychological intervention therapy, is a workable clinical way to individual mentalhealth. This paper, based on an introduction to the potential four models of expressive writing, considers pertinent operatingprocedures and recent years’ specific alterations including variables of background, methodology and treatment, which canmoderate the intervention effect. Meanwhile, it elaborates on the binary effects in the short-term and long-term sense, and inthe perspective of overall function, and biological and mental well-being.
